How I trimmed $500 in annual bank fees

Here is a new product in the market place to help manage your personal spending. For many of us all we know is to open a personal checking account with the local bank and get a debit card linked to a checking account.
Sometimes we are up sold to getting additional savings accounts, then often encouraged to setup monthly transfers on all checking accounts to savings accounts to avoid monthly maintenance account fees, and other “work arounds”
In all, this just adds to more time trying to keep track of things and more bank fees.
As a result of all of this, I chose to close a few of my personal bank accounts and signed up for an American Express Bluebird Card
www.Bluebird.com
Reasons why I like this product:
- Affiliated with US Bank ATM network
- Free checks
- Easy to transfer funds from a checking or savings account to your Bluebird card.
- All purchases are insured through the American Express purchase policy.
- Mobile App through iTunes and Android
- No Fees!
- Awesome customer service if you have questions
